1961 Britannica Encyclopedia/ Complete Set

Perfect condition! The Encyclopædia Britannica (Latin for "British Encyclopaedia"), formerly published by Encyclopædia Britannica, Inc., is a general knowledge English-language encyclopaedia. It was written by about 100 full-time editors and more than 4,000 contributors. The 2010 version of the 15th edition, which spans 32 volumes[1] and 32,640 pages, was the last printed edition.


Harvard Classics Five-Foot Shelf of Books

A fifty-one volume, complete run of the Five-Foot Shelf of Books series, "The Harvard Classics". The series was edited by Charles William Eliot, who often supplied introductions and notes to the various volumes. Includes the original 50 numbered volumes in matching bindings, plus an additional 51st which is entitled "Lectures". Dr. Eliot believed the Harvard Classics would supply a reader with a liberal education if only they would work their way down a "five-foot shelf of books" containing essential classical writings, from Frankin's Autobiography to Darwin's Origin of Species to notable English poetry.
